With over 38 million passengers arriving each year, Toronto Pearson International Airport wanted to welcome the world to Canada with something warm, but also striking and cosmopolitan.
Pearson’s welcome mural showcases artists from across Canada
Toronto Pearson is Canada’s busiest airport – and the second-largest in North America. Terminal 1 handles the majority of its international passengers, almost all of whom pass through a centralized rotunda. A new art installation inside features iconic historical images combined with bright, inclusive photographs of the modern Canadian experience. Playful illustrations unify the warm, genuine design. The mural has also been adapted for Pearson’s Infield Terminal – in time to welcome Syrian refugees.
