Worksmart: it's our in-house, employee-driven sustainability program and a way of thinking about our corporate citizenship. Being smart about how we work is one of our defining characteristics. We take the long view, building relationships based on trust and respect, and giving back to our community through contributions of time and money. It's the only way to build a business that will last.
We love paper; it's where we started, after all. We work with FSC-certified printers and encourage our clients to select environmentally sustainable paper options. We choose recycled FSC paper for all our printouts, and have dramatically lowered our overall usage. We are powered by Bullfrog Power (100% green), and we meticulously recycle everything from paper to batteries, and compost lunchtime leftovers.

The Works became officially Carbon Neutral in August 2010, through a combination of certified offsets and significant process changes. (We believe we're the first communications studio in Canada to achieve this milestone.) Shifting into Carbon Neutral was important to us – our team members want to work for an environmentally responsible company, and by adopting this sustainable practice we are better positioned to assist our clients with their sustainability goals.
